Things Beginning with 'B'

These challenges don't half come around quick! I think you can tell I'm spending less hours in my craft room these days, and if I haven't worked ahead, it's a mad rush to get my cards made on time! Oops!

Luckily I had this one made up before I went on holiday, so it was just a case of typing the post before it went live.  And the theme this time at MAWTT is...

Something/s Beginning with "B"

Bath/Bubbles/Bathing/Butterflies/Blooms & Birthday

So I think I covered quite a few B's with this bathing beauty from Pink Gem.  Jx

I've made this card ahead of time so we are still in Spring with the daffodils blooming as I type this post.  Hopefully as this post goes live with the Ooh La La challenge Michelle's choice of  theme will be in full bloom!

I went with summer flowers and chose this delightful image from the Shawn Jenkins CD - can you tell it's a favourite of mine and if you don't already have it, might I suggest you look into getting it as it really has so many fantastic images!

Anyway, back to my card - a simple layout, a touch of coloured lace and a heat embossed sentiment by Visual Image - love these little verses and think they finish cards beautifully.

Stamping Sensations - Anything Goes

Super excited today with lots of things to tell you all! First off, I'm guest designing for Stamping Sensations this month after winning their challenge back in June.  Really pleased to have been asked, and it was a nice easy one for me as their challenge this time is

Anything Goes

So my card for them was a thank you, made for hospital staff to thank them all for the great work they do.

It's a simple CAS card using a brilliant Simon Says Stamp thanks die and a couple of medical figures stamped from a Woodware cling set.

Colouring as ever is by Promarker.

Now, as I mentioned earlier, my GD spot came about after a Stamping Sensations win, but what I never mentioned was my great prize - a credit of £35 with Visible Image - and look at all the lovely goodies I got!

Haven't used them yet, but am delighted with my prize so HUGE thanks to Visible Image

Finally, my other news - as you read this I'm on holiday - currently in Rome hopefully enjoying the heat and the icecreams...will tell you all about it on my return, Jx

Age As Focal Point

Mid July, well it is when this goes live, but I'm still in June!  I am however working ahead and this is the card for Carole's challenge over at MAWTT
So she has asked us to make

Age the Focal Point

in our creations.  So I have done this using a super digi stamp from Digi Stamp Boutique and some rather old papers which I found at the back of a drawer!

Hope you can spare time to join us, Jx

Monday Morning in mid July - time for a new Ooh LaLa challenge and this time it's Lynn who's looking for;

So let's see those scenes where ever they may be!

My card is made from the Paula Oakley CD, I'm thinking the field is full of Oil Seed Rape - but I ain't no farmer so I could be wrong!

Hope you can spare time to join us, Jx

Monday morning again and time for a new challenge over at Ooh La La.  This time it's Julie who has chosen the theme, and she's picked,

as our theme, which happened to be perfect for me, as my parents celebrated their 60th (diamond) Wedding anniversary back in April so I made them this card to celebrate.

Again it's from the Shawn Jenkins Collection, and I made it a big 8x8 card with a scalloped edge...that's the beauty of CD crafting, you can scale up or down size to suit!

Di's Digi's - layer it up
Alphabet Challenge  - H is for hearts
As You Like It - Favourite way to add ribbon - a strip down the side or bottom of a card - just breaks up the layers and adds a nice bit of detail!
In The Pink - Special occasion - my parents anniversary.
Double D - Anything Wedding - wedding anniversary

...and here they are, my Mam & Dad on their wedding day!

Get Well Soon

So, there's been a bit of a demand on cards of late, first graduation, then my neighbour going in to hospital for a hip replacement, hence the need for get well and thank you cards, all mixed in with the usual birthday requests!

So this demand has spurred me on and today I'm sharing my get well card with you, as my neighbour comes home today and it will be so good having her next door again so I can pop in and out as I please!

I'm not even going to begin naming the papers - they are old, but colouring is by Promarker and the stamp by LOTV.

Creative Knockouts - For the girls
Sketch Tanten - Sketch 33
Pink Gem - Summer Colours

Finally, I promised I'd share some graduation pics with here they are.  So proud of Alan, five years of study and he graduated with First Class Honours in Master of Chemical Engineering.
